AMP Commercial Electric Forklift Rebate: Get Up to $6,000

Buy a new class-1 or class-2 electric forklift, and you may be eligible for a cash rebate of $2,000 per forklift, up to a maximum of three forklifts per metered site. This rebate is available to A1, A2, A3, M1 and M3 customers.

For additional funding, customers may also choose to participate in one or both of the following state programs:

1. Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s Off-Road Vehicles program
2. California Air Resources Board’s Clean Off-Road Equipment (CORE) Voucher Incentive Project

HOW TO APPLY

  1. Purchase one or more new electric forklifts.

  2. Complete the online application.

  3. Submit images of the following documents for verification:

    • W-9 Form for company requesting rebate

    • Paid invoice indicating the cost of the electric forklift(s) and the purchase date

    • Electric forklift technical specifications, including the manufacturer, model number, serial number, model year, Class 1 or 2, motor size, and lifting capacity

    • Photograph(s) of the electric forklift(s)



  4. Please allow 8-12 weeks for rebate checks to be delivered.

Eligibility

  • Effective date of this program is April 1, 2020. Only electric forklift(s) purchased on or after this date are eligible.

  • The rebate amount cannot exceed pre-tax purchase price.

  • Customer must be an active AMP commercial customer who is in good standing, and the electric forklift(s) under this rebate application must be operated for a minimum of three years at a commercial address with an active account.

  • Rebate is available for the purchase of the following eligible forklift categories:

    • Class 1 (counterbalance) forklift: 36 V, 48 V or 80 V; 3,000 – 12000 pounds lift capacity

    • Class 2 (narrow aisle) forklift: 24 V, 36 V, or 48 V; 3,000 – 5,500 pounds lift capacity



  • Up to three electric forklift(s) per metered site are eligible for a rebate.

  • A complete rebate application package must be uploaded or postmarked within 90 days of the electric forklift(s) purchase date. Applications are not considered to be received until all required documentation is complete and received at AMP’s offices. Failure to provide all of the required documentation by this date may result in rebate ineligibility.

  • Customer agrees that AMP reserves the right to request additional documentation prior to rebate payment. AMP may deny the rebate payment if this condition is not met by the customer.

  • The customer rebate payment shall go directly to, and in the name of, the customer/business name/account holder named on the AMP bill.

  • The rebate payment will be mailed from AMP within 8 to 12 weeks of AMP receiving all required documentation.

Terms and Conditions

  • Applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis, and rebate is subject to availability of funds. AMP’s processing of this application may be placed on hold or automatically rejected if applicable program funds have been exhausted.

  • AMP expressly reserves the right to modify or terminate the program, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason without prior notice.

  • AMP disclaims any and all liability, loss, or damage that may arise as a result of the applicant's participation in this program.

  • Customer agrees that AMP reserves the right to inspect premises for 36 months after the date of application or request additional documentation prior to rebate payment. Rebate amount to be prorated by AMP if customer leaves the territory within 3 years.

  • Customer shall cooperate with AMP or its authorized representative in performing evaluation, measurement, and verification (EM&V) of the program. Information accessed for EM&V may include, but is not limited to: functioning hour meter displays, onsite verification of installation and operation, program compliance, battery charging equipment and observation of battery charging-related facility operations, and project records. All information collected will be held confidentially and will be used by AMP or its authorized representative for program analysis purposes only. Customer shall ensure that AMP or its authorized agents have access to the company’s facility at reasonable times, for a period of up to five (5) years from the date of the company’s receipt of rebate payment under this agreement.

  • Disclaimer of warranties: AMP makes no representations, expressed or implied, regarding the design, construction, reliability, efficiency, performance, operation, maintenance, or use of any equipment, or installation discussed, selected, rejected, purchased, or otherwise considered by the customer. Any decisions regarding the selection, design, purchase, installation, use and operation of any equipment or consideration or selection of any contractor shall be the sole responsibility of the customer.

  • These terms and conditions apply for all rebate application packages submitted/postmarked on or after May 1, 2020. If the customer fails to comply with any of these terms and conditions, as determined by AMP, the customer agrees to repay the rebate in an amount determined by AMP within 30 days of written notice by AMP.
